We have been granted a virtual prototype of a Proprietary Cryptocurrency Trading Algorithm to study the applications of technology and computer science in finance! The algorithm virtually trades cryptocurrencies at high frequencies to generate a profit, and we often host discussions about how it works!

BITCOIN AND OTHER CRYPTOCURRENCIES
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, which is a virtual currency that operates separately from banks.  We have and will continue to discuss the history of bitcoin, the causes of its spike in popularity and value, as well as its fall and recent rise again.  We also, as a club, simulate investing money in cryptocurrencies and record our profits and losses.  We  discuss what were the events leading up to either a gain or a loss, and predict what will happen by the next club meeting.
